Remember people
the way you mean to.
Not a sales pipeline. A way to keep up with the people you would be sad to lose touch with.
The problem with staying in touch
Nobody forgets people on purpose. It happens because there is no record: the last conversation is buried in a chat, the thing they told you about their mother is gone, and the six months since you spoke feel like six weeks.
What is kept
Each person has a card: how you know them, what they do, what is going on with them, and every meeting or call you logged. You can write to the card from Telegram — “coffee with Katya, she is moving to Lisbon” — and it files itself against her.
Reminders that are not nagging
Set a rhythm for the people who matter: every month, every quarter. When the time passes, you get a quiet nudge with what you talked about last time — which is the part that makes writing back easy.
The map
Relationships between people are drawn as a graph: who introduced whom, who works with whom, which circle a person belongs to. Useful when you are trying to remember how you know someone.
